Intake & Diagnostics

getting to know you

Whether you come with a diagnosis or are seeking to find a potential root to your psychiatric concerns, we will work together to understand your symptoms and how they are impacting your life. We will look to western medicine as well as other interventions to enable you to function better and live your best life.

The psychiatric intake is a 90 minute appointment where a guided conversation, along with the comprehensive intake paperwork, will help me understand your past and present mental health challenges and determine the best course of treatment.

Medication Management

ensuring the right med for you

When nurses administer medication we ensure we have the right patient, the right dose, for the right reason, and we get the right response. This is an essential part of my practice, where we work together to find the right medication for you.

Generally medication management appointments will be monthly. New prescriptions may require more frequent visits until we achieve the right outcome. Some patients may be able to get prescriptions filled every few months depending on stability and type of medication.

Mood Disorders

all about how we feel

Depression is a common mood disorder often felt as sadness, loss of interest or enjoyment, sleep or appetite disturbances, which can be experienced through various stages of life. When it affects your day-to-day experience; how you feel, think, or act, it may be time to address it.

On the opposite side of depression, one can experience prolonged elation or manic symptoms, which may be a type of bipolar disorder. I can diagnose and treat various types of mood disorders.

There are many types of therapy available.
